Happy 1st Birthday "Cupcake"!

Wow! Has it been a year already? Our little girl is growing up so fast! We had a cupcake party tonight for our "little cupcake". We invited some friends over to help us celebrate. Emily wasn't so sure what to do with her cupcake at first. (It probably didn't help that she had a kitchen full of people staring at her and watching her every move.) But, once she got the hang of it, there was no stopping her. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. Happy 1st birthday Emily!

Whipped Cream...What's Not To Like!

Emily's daddy decided that she needed to be introduced to the world of whipped cream. We had french toast (the yummy cream cheese variety with whipped cream) for dinner. We had some whipped cream left over. Chad gave her a taste and she decided to dig right in with both hands! To say the least, it was a big hit! DELICIOUS!

Just when you thought she couldn't get any cuter...

Emily is getting cuter every day. Her playful personality is really starting to shine through. She makes Chad and I laugh all the time. Tonight she was playing in the kitchen while we were making dinner. She really has a thing for hats lately. We put Chad's hat on her head and she couldn't have been happier!

Some Thanksgiving Pic's

We made the 15 hour trip to Idaho in 17 hours. Emily slept a total of 45 minutes, but she did awesome! The trip home was a bit more interesting because it snowed all the way from Denver to Lawrence. This made for a 19 hour trip home, much longer than we had anticipated. Luckily, Emily slept from Denver all the way to Lawrence. We are thankful for our many blessings!!!

Emily learned to push her baby in the stroller.

She decided that she wanted to push baby Ella in the stroller instead.

Cousin Patrick wanted to join the stroller fun too.

Emily loves playing with the ball.
She has even learned the sign for it!

Great Grandpa Jensen and Ella.

Emily is having fun with her Great Grandpa.

An Early Christmas with Nana and Grandpa Jensen.

Emily LOVED opening her presents...
She was happy to rip the paper and have everyone cheer!

Peek-a-boo!

We had a great time!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It snowed today. It was our first snow of the year. I brought Emily to the living room window to see the falling snow. She stared for a moment, not sure what she was looking at. We went outside to get a closer look. Emily was very excited by the whole experience. She started flapping her hands up and down. She had fun trying to "catch" the snowflakes and watching it melt away in her hand. We came back inside to warm up and I put Emily down for a nap. It continued to snow most of the day. When she woke from her nap everything was covered in a thin layer of white and the flakes had become larger. I took her over to the window to she the snow and then went back outside for a second round of "catch the snowflake". She also tried standing in the snow. It was really fun! She kept returning to the window all day to see the snow!

Later, we were finishing up some Christmas decorating and Emily found a Santa hat. I put it on her head. A huge grin spread across her face! I took her outside to take some pictures in the snow with her new hat.

Baby, it's COLD outside!

Burrrr......
